Our guide, Ah Ming, was enthusiastic and humorous—he took great care of us throughout the trip. We also tried bamboo rafting—the water was clear and the mountains were green, making us feel like we were in a fairyland. The hotel was by the Li River, so we could enjoy the landscape view right after waking up. The only downside was that the Yulong River rafting time was a bit short—wish it could be longer next time. Overall, great value for money and professional service—highly recommended!

Guide Sister Chen is a native of Chongqing; she speaks fluent Chinese and simple Malay, so my Malaysian friend and I had no communication barriers.​ The trip started at Hongyadong. Sister Chen told us that the design of Hongyadong was inspired by Chongqing’s stilt houses, and when the lights are on at night, it looks like a scene from “Spirited Away”—we waited until evening on purpose, watching the stilt houses slowly lit up by lights under the sunset, really like stepping into an animated world! Later, we went to Liberation Monument; she explained Chongqing’s anti-Japanese war history, and took us to an old noodle shop hidden in an alley.
