Day 1 Kunming

Day 2 Kunming
Kunming → West Mountain → Chama Flower Street → Dianchi Lake → Chuxiong

After breakfast, depart at 09:00 to West Mountain Scenic Area (scenic bus 60 RMB/person self-pay), Yunnan's only national-level tourist resort. Known as the "Top Wonderland of Central Yunnan" at 2,350m altitude, visit Dragon Gate—a magnificent grotto complex entirely hand-carved into steep cliffs. This is the best vantage point for panoramic views of Dianchi Lake and Kunming. As the saying goes, "Once you leap through the Dragon Gate, your fortune multiplies."
Lunch self-arranged at Chama Flower Street at the mountain's foot—a charming Republic of China era street with local Yunnan snacks and handicrafts. Afterward, visit Dianchi Haigeng Dam to see the "Pearl of the Plateau" and interact with Black-headed Gulls (Note: Gulls present Nov 1–Mar 15 only; complimentary seasonal stop, no replacement/refund if out of season).
Travel by bus to Chuxiong for the sacred Yi Minority Long Table Feast. The festivities begin with a Fire Sacrifice Welcoming Ceremony, where legendary Yi stories are shared. Learn the "Left Foot Dance" from local Yi youths and immerse yourself in authentic tribal atmosphere. The evening culminates in a grand Bonfire Party to celebrate with the hospitable Yi people.
Day 3 Dali

After breakfast, depart at 09:00 to Dali. Board an Erhai Lake Cruise to experience the unparalleled beauty of "Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake." As sunlight sparkles on the emerald waters, enjoy 360° panoramic views, fully immersed in natural poetry and tranquility.
Next, explore Dali Ancient City, a historic cultural landmark with classic chessboard layout preserving Ming, Qing, and Republican era architecture. Wander ancient streets discovering temples, academies, and churches. Free time to visit South Gate, Wuhua Tower, and Honglong Well; sample local delicacies like Dali yogurt, grilled Rushan (cheese fans), Baojiang tofu, and cold chicken rice noodles.
Afternoon at **Nanzhao Xicheng **(Joy Town), showcasing luxurious Bai ethnic folk houses ("Three Buildings and one Reflecting Wall," "Four Yards and Five Sky-wells"). Engage in Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshops guided by master craftsmen—choose one of three activities:

Day 4 Lijiang

After breakfast at 08:00, depart for Xinhua Village, a 4A-level scenic area and cultural "Grand View Garden" where Yi, Hui, Lisu, Miao, and Han peoples live together. Observe unique customs like colorful ethnic weddings, traditional bride-pinching rituals, and ancient trading traditions.
Continue to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain scenic area. Take the Spruce Meadow Cable Car to admire high-altitude alpine meadows and lush virgin forests. Towering spruce trees and majestic snow peaks create a tranquil atmosphere. (Note: Cable car subject to wind/maintenance; refund provided if closed due to force majeure. Children over 1.4m should prepay during registration for guaranteed booking in peak season.)
Next, visit Blue Moon Valley (scenic bus 60 RMB/person self-pay). Formed by melting ice and snow, the river is exceptionally clear and cold. On sunny days, water turns brilliant blue; the crescent-shaped valley looks like a blue moon nestled at the snow mountain's foot.
Late afternoon, explore Lijiang Ancient Town independently. Wander stone-paved alleys, past small bridges and flowing streams, immersing in the relaxed centuries-old atmosphere. Dinner self-arranged at street stalls: crispy fried **Jelly **(Liangfen), savory or sweet Lijiang Baba, honey preserves, and Naxi Steamed Rice Cakes.
Day 5 Lijiang
Shuhe Ancient Town

After breakfast at 09:00, depart for Shuhe Ancient Town, one of the earliest Naxi settlements in Lijiang, renowned for authentic, well-preserved charm. Once a vital trading hub on the Ancient Tea Horse Road, the town is nestled between mountains and rivers with traditional architecture, stone-paved lanes, and crystal-clear streams flowing past every doorstep.
After lunch, enjoy free time to revisit favorite spots, shop for local handicrafts, or relax in a café.
Day 6 Shangri-La
Lijiang → First Bend of Yangtze River → Tiger Leaping Gorge → Pudacuo National Park → Tusi Banquet

After breakfast, travel to Shangri-La via First Bend of Yangtze River. Visit Tiger Leaping Gorge ("world's greatest gorge") to witness spectacular snow waves and powerful waters (escalator not included: 50 RMB one-way / 70 RMB round-trip).
Afternoon at Pudacuo National Forest Park—a pristine fairyland with clear lakes, blue skies, forest sounds, and birdsong. Roam through flower meadows, virgin forests, and Shudu Lake on the snowy plateau.

Day 7 Kunming
